UP! Orchestra to Perform at International Society for Music Education Conference

After last May’s performance at the Royal Albert Hall, the groundbreaking UP! Orchestra is returning this year for another almighty performance.

Out of 100 submissions, Surrey Music Hub’s Orchestra of Unlimited Potential (UP! Orchestra) has been invited to perform on the 27th July for the 32nd World Conference of the International Society for Music Education (ISME) in Glasgow!

The International Society for Music Education, running from the 24th – 29th July 2016, will play host to talks from keynote speakers, researchers and practitioners in the field of music education. With an emphasis on breaking down barriers, the conference aims to inspire the collaboration of arts; encourage devised and newly composed work to sit alongside accepted classics and to enforce artists to apply these ideas as an outreach method to people from all sectors of society.

Hand on Heart Arts are very happy to see UP! Orchestra’s inclusion in such an event and extremely proud to see the amazing achievements the young musicians have gained in the last year! Good luck UP! We will see you on the 27th July!
