Soundcity 4 Youth Festival

Hand on Heart Arts have been working hard with Brighton and Hove’s Music Education Hub SoundCity, to project and event manage their annual celebration SoundCity4!

SoundCity4 will be happening next Saturday, 12 March 2016 at Corn Exchange, Brighton. Doors at 7.00pm – 9.30pm finish.

SoundCity4 will be an exciting event, showcasing the brilliant young talent that is being built across the city. Acts have been taken from a variety of schools, and Brighton and Hove Music and Arts service, who have all proven great enthusiasm and skill in music. This will be SoundCity’s 4th celebration and aims to support and improve these young musicians and music leader’s creative practices and development by increasing access to high quality opportunities.

We have brought in top, professional musicians, Joe Browne, Kushal Gaya and Alex Bondonno to contribute their knowledge, expertise and support to either already formed or newly developed acts. Kushal Gaya has been working with Blatchington Mill School, Cardinal Newman Catholic School and Longhill Highschool to develop the exciting new vocal project – Boys Singing Choir. Boys from each school have worked hard to practice their vocals, learn lyrics and collaborate together for their performance next Saturday!

There will also be the grande finale to look forward to – the exciting culmination of many acts whose performance will end the night of celebration in style! Led and developed by Joe Browne, alongside young musicians from across Brighton & Hove.

SoundCity4 has been a great project and event to manage. We’d like to thank all the young musicians, teachers, schools, leaders and SoundCity for all their enthusiasm, support and talent and hope to see the acts next year!
